More Coffee Talk

It has been awhile since I had been to
Sam's Club, but after all the
adventures in bread making that I had been doing, I had run out of a key ingredient for cooking... all-purpose flour.
I don't know what it is about going to Sam's Club, but it is like I have to give myself a pep talk for an entire week that I am going there. I think it is because it is so big and the lines are so long and walking the place takes so much time, but maybe that is just me? Usually I choose the Click 'N Pull option, but our Sam's is under construction so I thought it would be easier if I just ran in and got the stuff myself.
I usually run in and run right back out and rarely do I browse because, frankly, I end up spending money we don't have. As I was making my beeline towards the flour, this shiny bag caught my eye and I was doing a little happy dance in the aisle.
Sam's Club is carrying my FAVORITE coffee in the whole wide world-
Folger's Gourmet Vanilla Biscotti. I have been highly addicted to this coffee since the company sent me some samples to review and that, my friends, is why
Freebie Friday might not really be free. I can't tell you how many "free" things I have gotten suckered into buying and this coffee is no exception.
This is a killer deal though, $10.88 for two pounds of coffee! Don't forget, Sam's also carries
Dunkin' Donuts for cheap too!
What have you received for "free" that you are now hooked on? Tell me I am not the only one getting sucked in by free samples!

"Well, I guess I have been hooked by the Yogi Tea free samples. Yogi Tea is now my favorite type of tea because of all the free samples they've sent me - Mexican Sweet Chili just blows all the other teas out of the hot water. But that's ok! It's so much more affordable to try new products for free, because the majority of them you will find are not something you are crazy enough about to change your buying habits."

"True, Heather, very true. I am certainly not discrediting the great free stuff, it is just that there have been a few things that I wish I wouldn't have tried so I wouldn't know what I was missing ;)"

"For me, it was the crock pot liners- I don't cook in my crock pot terribly often, but when I do, I hate the clean-up. I went out & sheepishly bought a box of the liners after trying the sample."

"I got hooked on the Schick Intuition razors a few years back. I try to stock up on them whenever I find a good deal, especially when CVS is generating Extra Bucks on them. You'd be shocked at the deals to be found there, even though it seems their everday prices are kind of high!"

"For some reason at the farmer's market here in Chicago, they were handing out those handivacs for freezer bags...with three free bags. My boss picked up 2 and gave me one. LOVE IT! Yes, the bags are more expensive, but it has turned out to be a great way to preserve frozen stuff when you just want a few of the items (pancakes, veggies, etc). No more freezer burn. And if you do it right, they are reusable."

"I'd don't buy too much convience foods and then organic ingredients have my loyalty so... the freebies are nice extras but honestly I haven't really wanted to buy anything I've sampled. The only exception being the Yogi tea, but I already was a faithful customer before I tried the new flavors. LOL"

"Oh wow, I haven't seen that in my Sam's. I'd love to get that big bag, but unfortunately, my coffee-loving better half won't drink anything flavored. I have to save it for when he's out of town and I have the coffee machine all to myself. :)
Like you, I got a free sample of the Folgers and now I like both the Vanilla Biscotti and the Caramel Drizzle.
Unlike you, I LOVE going to Sam's. I don't like the lines, but I try to go during the early afternoon when they're not so bad. After 5 PM and on weekends, it's a madhouse. I love Sam's though, since I have an innate, natural hoarding gene :)
