Not Today, Please...

UPDATE: Bunny was found!! Only fellow moms could recognize the tragedy we would have faced without him! Thanks for all of your well wishes and I will write more on location in NJ!
Have you seen this bunny anywhere? It appears my daughter has lost, not just one, but
BOTH of
her bunnies are missing. I have spent the past hour trying to find them- searching the car, checking behind chairs, looking in cupboards. I am supposed to be packing, but there is no way I am going away without a bunny in her arms.
When I find him, I am going to have to figure out how to install a tracking device inside. I wonder if one of those remote finders would fit nicely on the interior of his face? Wow! Never thought I would say that!
One thing you also do not want text messaged to your phone, right before a trip, is this:
"I am starting to think I have shingles."Nope, my husband is allergic to penicillin. He made a trip to the doctor's covered in a fiery rash from head to toe. He is completely miserable, but got a prescription to calm down his reaction.
Oh, and since we are talking about fun events that happened today, here is another great one! I typed up a document called, "Daddy's Cliff Notes" with all of the things that he asked me to write up for him, all neatly typed in my favorite Georgian font. As I hit, "Save" the screen fades and says, "Microsoft Windows is not responding." Yup, that document... yeah, it's gone. Didn't even save itself to be recovered to make up for being so flaky.
We will see if I actually get to go on this trip after all!

"I was hoping by the end of the post I would see a bright, flashing "April Fools!". No such luck, eh?"

"Oh my goodness - Emily lost her pink bunny about a year ago. It was eventually found, but whew - in between is rough! I hope you find it and that you have a fun time away even though today has been so hard!"
"I am sorry you are having such a hard time today. These occurance would be enough to drive a person crazy who wasn't planning a trip. This could very well send me over the edge while trying to get away. I hope the rest of your day goes much better.
Take Care.

"Yikes, not a good start.
You always think if you have two of the favored toy you are good...who knew??? Hoping bunny shows up very soon."

"Oh no I hope that your hubby gets feeling better! I hope that you find the missing bunny soon too."

"Hallelujah! A bunny has been spotted! Thank the Lord! Sometimes it takes a different set of eyes to find stuff around here :)
Now off to pack :)"
"Amy, I was completely and totally empathizing with you and am so glad you found the bunny! Mooey and The Doggies NEVER leave the house after several afternoons wasted driving around town trying to locate them with the child who lost the lovey literally screaming in the backseat like they had lost their best friend. I highly doubt that even I would get that kind of reaction if I suddenly came up missing. If you ever find or invent a lovey tracking device, I'll be first in line to buy it. And yes, Gabrielle is NINE and is physically attached to Moo every waking moment in the house and when she's sleeping. Consider Bunny your third child right now."

"Julie- You are SO right. Bunny is our third child. I try to leave without the bunnies as much as I can. I have found him next to our car on more than one occasion...he's had a few encounters where we thought he had been lost for good, but he always turns up eventually (thank goodness)
Hmmm..I think I should get a patent on a lovey tracker :) Maybe that is my million dollar mommy moment. Of course, I always figure these things out after they have already been figured out before so I am sure something like this already exists :)"

"I have to ask: where was bunny hiding?"

"BEST WISHES for that trip Amy!
Oh man, I'm allergic to penicillin too so I really feel for your hubby. Here's hoping 1- the reaction subsides. 2- bunny is found with a GPS unit 3- you have a FANTAB time!"
Amy
"Ha! Um, he was tucked away behind the couch. EWWWW! Was totally worth it, but boy I need to sweep back there ;)
Thanks for the well wishes and sympathies on our precious bunny :)"

"Oh no!! I hope you've found it! The two weeks we waited for Alaina's new monkey to be shipped to us were the worst two weeks ever! I never let that thing out of my sight now!"
"I'm so glad you found the bunny. I was having heart palpitations for you! LOL My daughter has had her Doudou since she was three months old and absolutely cannot sleep without it. There have been many stressful moments around here when his is "misplaced"."
"Amy,
So glad you found Bunny. Each of my twins has a different animal they must sleep with. Alex left his tigger in a pile of leaves at grandpa and grandma's house last fall. Grandpa unknowingly mowed over him! Grandma had to do emergency "surgery" to restore body parts to the proper places and get him to our house that night! We got a new tigger, but it is still poor sad wounded tigger that he must have!
I also have had the rash with a Penacillin reaction, your poor hubby! Good luck getting ready, hope things calm down there!
Sandy"
"What a day.
Sounds like you need a trip with some pampering after all this.

"We have a rule at our house that the favorite animals (a hippo and a doggie) MUST stay in the house - they cannot go on car rides....as a matter of fact, we prefer them to stay in our daughter's bed, so we know where they are at ALL TIMES....that we avoid bedtime meltdowns!!! :-) Enjoy your trip!
