Freebie Friday: November 9, 2007

Today's segment on the CBS Early Show did not air. I contacted the producer and I got bumped due to a Curious George Toy recall. I think that next time I will just direct everyone to the link when/if they do decide to air the story. I am disappointed, but I guess that gives us some more time to add some more content to the site.

Thank you again for all of your support!

"You taped a segment for The Early Show! What an amazing thing just to do that!

I'm sure you're disappointed, but I hope you also know what a role model you are to us other "mommy bloggers.""

"Your freebie links and the effort you put into collecting them are very much appreciated but I would just like to encourage people to please not patron circuses involving animals, esp. Ringling Bros., because their treatment of animals is atrocious and I would hardly think you want to appear to your children to be encouraging the belief that animals are here for our entertainment or amusement. Circuses involving only human performers are ample and much more enjoyable both visually and morally."

"What a bummer to get bumped by a toy recall! Oh, I hope they will air it at another time! I got excited about the magazine freebie you posted because I'm a magazine junkie. But it appears to only be eligible to those who made a qualified apparel purchase. "Thank you for your interest in a one-year subscription to Lucky, Details, or TeenVogue magazine (valued from $8.00 to $12.00). Once we have verified your order eligibility, we will send the information you have shared with magazine publisher. Please note that if your eligible order cannot be verified, your subscription will not be fulfilled." Well, I can always cross my fingers that I will still get "Lucky"!"

"Heather- I think you will still get it. They did this offer with Domino magazine a few months ago and it had the same message. I was bummed, but ended up getting the magazine a few weeks later. All of the magazines have an outer cover that has Amazon advertisements on it, but otherwise it is the same exact magazine.

Keeping my fingers crossed and thanks for the sympathies. It was disappointing, but I guess that is show biz :)

Thanks for stopping by!"
