Giveaway Results: Ford Warrior Gift Basket

Sorry! This giveaway is now closed! We would like to congratulate Janet (Commenter #48) on winning this prize pack!
Today we are offering a beautiful gift basket of items from Ford that would make an amazing holiday gift, a special gift for someone who has survived cancer, or that could be divided to offer as gifts to many special people in your life.
This year, Ford Warriors in Pink continues its 15-year partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure by introducing a great new line of hip and contemporary fashion apparel and accessories that give back to the cause.
All items are available online at www.FordCares.com and 100% of all net proceeds directly benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure all year long. You gotta love that!
In their efforts, Ford Warriors in Pink has generated more than $1.8 million for the Susan G. Komen foundation through apparel sales alone. It is quite amazing when that much money is raised for a great cause just through the purchasing of great apparel.
This year, the 2009 Ford Warriors in Pink apparel collection is for both men and women, and features important symbols signifying the message of hope, strength and unity in the commitment to the fight against breast cancer. The items are beautifully made and would make fantastic holiday gifts to give or to get this holiday season.
Today we are giving away a huge Ford Warrior Gift Basket filled with many items which may include Warriors in Pink accessories, t-shirts, tops, stamp kit, scarf, and a men’s tie. This is one giveaway you won’t want to miss and pictured here are just a few of the items that will be included.
To enter to win, please tell me why this would make a lovely addition under your holiday tree. Entries will be taken through Tuesday (11/17) at 8PM EST. Our winner will be drawn at random. Good luck, everyone!

There are two women in our church fighting breast cancer right now. One is having insurance problems and can’t get the drug she needs. Amazingly, her counts have been improving even though she hasn’t been able to get the medication that the doctors want her to have. My mother died of breast cancer, so these women are close to my heart. I would love to be able to share this basket with them.

I would LOVE to have that scarf! I have been considering it for a while. The tie is absolutely lovely! And the umbrella – what a great giveaway.
I would break this set up a bit and share the love with various friends and relatives, so that we all could show our support and be a (lovely) reminder that the fight against breast cancer is alive and well.
I have a neighbor friend who is currently 3 weeks out from her breast cancer surgery. I’d love to give the scarf to her.
My husband recently reconnected with his uncle who lives quite a distance from us. His uncle wears a lot of ties for work so this would make a wonderful gift for him.

I would love this gift basket to share with my mother who lost her mother (my grandmother) to breast cancer. I would also love to share this basket with a good friend of mine whose mother just beat breast cancer. What a great gift!!
I would love to have this under my tree to give to my Aunt. At 50 she found a lump 6 months after her yearly mammogram. She had Stage 3 lymphoma. It was a shock to our whole family as she has always been extremely healthy, working out almost every day, eating healthy and taking care of herself. Of everyone in our family she was the last person we thought would get the “c” word. After the initial shock wore off she embraced her treatment, insisted on a double masectomy against her doctors advice (she was convinced she needed to get ahead of this), shaved her head when her hair started falling out and was proud to tell everyone she was going to be a survivor, which she now is. She is an inspiration to everyone who knows her.
My aunt is fighting breast cancer and my mother has had some breast issues as well, although thankfully it wasn’t cancer. They would make great gifts to my family.
I would share some of these gifts w/friends who are currently dealing w/breat cancer. Christmas will be a little sparse this year (w/the economy) so some of the items will be doled out to other friends and families.
P.S. My mother just went to her OB/GYN. He was floored. He told her normally about 6 of his patients are diagnosed w/breast cancer in a year. He has just seen 16 new cases in two months! What is going on?

I have one friend who is emotional drawn from her mother who has breast cancer, and she is unable to be with her mother, do to the distance between them. I have another friend who just became cancer free, but is struggling with other side effects from her breast cancer treatment. This gift would really help me to add a little holiday cheer to their lives.
I work in the medical field. One of my patients, who has become like a hero to me, is a 2 time suvivor.I look up to her a great deal, she has taught me some much. I would love to win this for her.
Nancy Ward is one of those rare extraordinary souls who has dedicated her life to educating children, serving as a Montessori teacher for the past 23+ years. The very small private schools for which she has worked have not always been able to provide healthcare insurance or a wage equal to her efforts. However, that has never prevented this single-mom from pursuing her goal of fostering a love of learning in children. Though my son was in her class eight years ago – one of hundreds of students she has see come and go in her years as a teacher – when I run into Nancy she still remembers my son’s name and asks specific questions about his well-being. She is genuine and amazing in every respect. Her students, her coworkers, and all parents past and present, love her.
We were very happy when she beat breast cancer a couple of years. Unfortunately, another battle for Nancy has just begun again. Her breast cancer has returned. I would like to give this gift to Nancy Ward.
(I just posted the comment about Nancy Ward – but I think that I accidentally included my incorrect email – my correct email is jgubbinsga@gmail.com)

We have our first property tax due, we want to be able to see our families, and provide and nice Christmas for our babies. With the weight of these bills on our shoulders it’s really hard to afford anything for our kids much less each other. Every little bit is a relief.
