Giveaway Results: Crystal Light Water Way Challenge Week 3

Congratulations to Rhonda (Commenter #196) on winning this $50 giveaway!
I have always been aware of the great benefits of drinking water. A little known fact about me is that I actually went to college for a food and nutrition degree. Even though I didn’t pursue my career as a dietician, I have been able to put into practice how to cook for my family and provide healthy choices for them. Drinking more water is a positive choice for all of us… well, maybe not my daughter who is still in those early stages of potty training, but I digress!
There are oodles of benefits to water and I can say that I am seeing a couple of benefits already. For me, my eyes don’t feel quite as dry as they used to. I also feel like I have a little more bounce in my step. More importantly, it is helping me get over the hump of midday snacking because I feel more full.
Here are few more positive benefits of drinking more water:
- While water is not a miracle cure for anything, dehydration can make you feel drained and can cause all sorts of ailments from muscle aches to headaches. You can combat issues like these by drinking the recommended amount of water for your day.
- Water might not make you lose weight, but it can help you feel fuller. My junk food loading has slowed down these past two weeks and I have been trying to reach for a glass of water instead of that cookie jar.
- Drinking more water will help your skin look even better. By drinking my eight glasses of water, my skin doesn’t feel as dry anymore. Anything that can help my skin look better and still keep me on my frugal budget is a dream come true.
Crystal Light would like you to sign up for the Water Way Challenge is easy and will only take a few seconds. You can then use the site as a tool to track your hydration throughout the day. The bonus of signing up is that Crystal Light will be assisting those 900 million folks around the world who do not have access to clean water.

I have been a water lover for some time now. One of the greatest benifits for me is staying on track with what I am eating. If I feel an urge for food I will drink 8 oz of water and wait a few minutes to see if the feeling goes away AND I have another 8oz of water under my belt for the day. If the feeling persists I know I am actually hungry and not having just a little craving.
My skin is softer and healthier looking!

Pretty much the only thing I let my kids drink is water! I do the same. Nothing can make you hydrated more than some good ‘ol h20!
Staying hydrated just gives me a boost of energy.
I think one of the best things about me drinking water, is that my kids see it as the default drink. The rarely drink juice but always have several (reuseable) bottles of water around. We all have thermos bottles too for keeping our water cool in the summer heat.
just added you to my twitter too!
I have kidney stones. Water basically keeps the stones movin’ through my system. Something I am incredibly grateful for.
More energy and skin looks better!
Hydration = Energy When I’m not hydrated I definitely start to drag mid-afternoon.
I LOVE drinking water! It helps me stay alert, focused, and energized…something I need while taking care of my two and one year old boys! Another thing I’ve noticed is it helps keep me “full” so I don’t snack on junk throughout the day. Gotta love some H2O!
My boyfriend has Crohn’s disease so it’s extra important for him to stay hydrated. Helps him feel better and stay out of the hospital. I try and get him to drink as much water as possible and since he’s very much a “pop guy” using Crystal light (he loves the lemonade and rasberry ice) to flavor it is almost the only way to get him to drink as much as he needs!
Being hydrated = no boyfriend in hospital/more date nights!
I subscribe to The MotherLoad

Benefit for staying hydrated: I’m less tired during the day. And if I’m “snacky” often a glass of water cures it!
It keeps me from getting cravings during the day.
A benefit of drinking water is eating less and curbing cravings.
In 1983 my 25 year old sister was in car accident and paralized from neck down. She had to consume large amounts of water because of her kidneys, per Dr. orders. Therefore I have never forgotten its importance and am trying to pass that on to my grandchildren.

Keeping hydrated gives me the energy to be healthy in other ways, such as eating less junk food because I am not as hungry, and working out for a longer amount of time.
I don’t get as many headaches when I’m hydrated.
I just feel better. When I’m not hydrated I feel sluggish.
My hair skin and attitude about life in genereal is awesome. If you dont feel good your attitude is not going to be good. Drinking water has actually helped me to lose some weight. I traded my soda for water.

Drinking a sufficient amount of water daily aids in digestion.
Drinking water is beneficial as it is low cost (brita filters) and drinking more water means drinking less beverages with calories. I don’t snack as much when drinking a lot of water or low calorie gatorade/crystal lite – the need for a sweet fix is helped by drinking crystal lite – the orange is terrific. Skin has improved – not as dry and looks better.
STAYING HYDRATED KEEPS MY SKIN LOOKING GREAT. I ALWAYS GET COMPLIMENTED ON MY GREAT SKIN AND IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF STAYING HYDRATED.
When it’s hot like this and I feel like I just can’t cool off all I have to do is start drinking water. It’s amazing how much better I feel all around not just b/c I’m finally cooled down but I just don’t feel as tired and most of all grumpy.
Ever since I started drinking more water, I have noticed my skin getting more clearer. I used to have dry skin, but keeping myself hydrated made my skin glow more.
I have more energy and fell like my digestion is somehow better. I also spend a lot less time gazing into the fridge for something to drink. Once I get started on the H2O kick the soda really doesn’t sound that good to me.
Benefits of hydration? For me, my headaches disappear as long as I stay well hydrated!
I entered the Divine Caroline giveaway.

I have quit drinking soda for a couple of months and thus started drinking much more water. Although I always knew soda was bad for me, I loved it and got a headache if I did not drink at least one to two a day. However, I finally quit! It was hard at first. My skin looks better.
I definitely have more energy when I drink lots of water each day … and I kind of get more exercise too since I’m running to the bathroom more when I drink more :-p
here in the southwest you go nowhere especially in the summer without a bottle of water preferably ice water
I’m a runner so drinking water is a must. It helps me stay cool and regulates my body temperature.
The biggest benefit I see in staying hydrated, is how much cleaner I feel. I was never a major water drinker, but my fiance is in the Marine Corps and constantly has to stay hydrated. He can chug a bottle of water in nothing flat, and he has been teaching me how to stay better hydrated, too. I always knew the benefits of drinking water, but never realized how much “cleaner” and more “pure” it made me feel, like my body was just light and clean. I love it!
When I stay hydrated my son eats better!
I am breastfeeding my 4 month old and drinking enough is a necessity…I have more milk and my body doesn’t literally get drained dry when he nurses. It is very important for both me and him to get plenty of water every day!
The more regularly I drink water, the more my skin stays hydrated. I can really notice a difference, especially in the heat of summer.
I’ve always heard that the reason we don’t feel well as we get older is because we are dehydrated. We actually “rust” from the inside out. I make sure our family drinks plenty of water enriched with trace minerals! Keeps our body alkaline, not acidic!
I don’t want to eat as much junk food!
I don’t want to eat as much!
(Staying off the soft drinks) and I don’t feel as though I am sweating sugar in this hot weather!
I’ve noticed that my skin is clearer. When I hit my 30’s, I acquired a nuisance called adult acne. Drinking more water consistently has really helped clear and clarify my skin!

The one benifit from staying hydrated for me is my beautifully healthy children. Staying hydrated is very important to us, they are 10 and 12. Both girls with beautiful skin and healthy muscles and bodies. Water is a huge part of our lives!
I love the way my skin looks and feels when I keep hydrated. I can really feel it from the inside out!
I love how water takes the noticability of the broken capilaries off of the sides of my nose. The more i drink the better my skin is!
I notice that when I stay hydrated, I don’t get as many migraines!
