Giveaway Results: Crystal Light Water Way Challenge Week 2

Congratulations to Kim (Commenter #181) on winning this $50 giveaway!
There are many creative ways to stay hydrated and for those of us that struggle with drinking water, I thought I would share a few new ways to add hydration into your day.
- Buy a reusable water bottle that you can take with you when you are on the go. I love the stainless steel varieties because it keeps your water nice and cold. If you are unsure how much liquid the water bottle will hold, pour the water into a measuring glass and then figure out how many of those bottles are needed to meet your water quota.
- Adding lemon or a splash of bottled lemon juice to my water makes drinking water more appealing to me. That hint of flavor seems to make all of the difference.
- Exercising forces me to drink more water. By exercising, I am not only getting my body in shape, but it also makes me thirsty for more water. I call that a total win-win situation!
- Encourage the rest of the family to drink more water by serving a glass of water with your meals instead of any other drinks. After everyone gets one glass in, then offer milk or juice for the second glass.
- Make a deal with yourself that for every cup of tea, coffee, or soda that you drink that you will match this with one cup of water. This has helped me scale back the amount of coffee I am drinking and increased the amount of water going into my system.
- Crystal Light does offer lots of fun flavors that you can add to your water and it is low in calories. I am a fan of the Raspberry Lemonade & Fruit Punch flavors for adding a little punch to my water.
Crystal Light would like you to sign up for the Water Way Challenge is easy and will only take a few seconds. You can then use the site as a tool to track your hydration throughout the day. I stay hydrated by brnging my water bottle whereever(not made of plastic) gotta be green I also have one for my little 3 1/2 year old girl. I love the crystal light to go packs to put in there! Since drinking crystal lite I have kicked the soda habit and am losing lots of weight!
What you said! Plus I keep a cup on my desk at work. No excuses!
I drink water anytime I sit to watch TV. Mindless.
I find that I drink more (of whatever is in the glass) if I drink with a straw.
Don’t know why, but it works!
I subscribe in Google Reader
My tip is to not have any soda in the house. If it’s not here, I’ll reach for the water instead.
I drink sparkling water as my “treat” and a worthy substitute for Diet Coke (trying to cut down on that)
I’m a new twitter friend (so glad to see you on there!)
AND I subscribe via Google Reader (thank goodness for an RSS reader! I get all three of your blogs and love them all)
The only way I get enough water is to have a HUGE cup of water on my desk that I slurp through the day. It’s easier in the summer when it’s hot than in the winter!
I leave a glass by the kitchen sink so everytime I pass through the kitchen, I drink at least half of a glass if not all.
1. I grab a big plastic glass and fill it to the rim with ice cubes, then I put just a bit of water inside. Everytime I grab the drink it just gets colder and colder. Nothing better than a glass of ice cold ice!
2. I also subscribe to your blogs in google reader.
I make sure that I drink a full glass of water every time I refill the sippy cups for the kids. That keeps me hydrated!
I’m already a subscriber. Thanks for the chance to win!
My best tip: as soon as I walk in the kitchen in the morning, I stand at the sink and down a tall glass of water. Before breakfast or anything else- just water
I am trying to get myself to drink more water by being cheap: I think of all the money I could save by ordering water instead of a $2.00 (or more!) tea at a restaurant, and all of the money I could save by drinking the water that we already pay for each month instead of buying 2 liter Cokes at the store. Lately, since we are buying a new house, my cheapness has been winning and I’ve been drinking more water!
Follow you on Twitter. I like Courtney’s idea about the soda moratorium.
I switched to green tea from coffee every morning when I realized how many calories are in the little stupid creamers I dumped in without thinking.
Also, I find that even if I’m not thirsty, if I just have some water nearby, I’ll drink it.
I try to start out my day with a glass of water. I find if I start right away in the morning I am more likely to keep drinking throughout the day…if I wait I might not even have any until lunch.
I add food coloring and peppermint flavoring.
I have a few funky plastic glasses that I will put water in. It helps make drinking water more fun!
I measure out my daily water every morning in our ice tea dispenser. When my glass is empty I use the water out of the tea dispenser and when it’s gone I know that I’m good and hydrated…plus when I open the fridge I see the water I have left and it reminds me to drink up! I also keep sliced lemons to throw in there if I need a little something extra.
I do most of the things already listed =0 One thing I have found in addition to the other great ideas is mineral water! You get all of the fizz without added calories any yuckiness like soda. You can also add it to your fave juice, lemonade, and Crystal Light. Yummy!
As it gets hotter have ice chips around. It’s kind of snacky and very hydrating.
I subscribe to motherload via google reader.
I get dehydrated so easily. So I just started filling a glass and setting it next to wherever I’m working. I’ll find myself drinking it, even if I’m not even thirsty.
I share a sippy cup with my daughter!
I keep a water bottle in my car when driving. Getting into a hot car with ice cold water…you can’t help but drink
Spike it with lemon at the restuarants. Water is free, win win situation
I sneak in water by always having a water bottle on my desk

Every time I go to the bathroom I drink water even a little. Also I drink water everytime I feed my son.
I have a bootle that holds 32 oz. of water. I drink two throughout the day with a slice of lemon in it to give it a little flavor. You know how busy moms are, and I would lose track of how many glasses I had drunk throughout the day or plain forget to drink water. This really works for me.
I already subscribe to your blog.
I keep lemons and sometimes limes in the fridge to add flavor to my water.
I entered the Divine Caroline give-away. Interesting website!

I love water if it’s cold so I always put lots of ice in to keep it cold.
Don’t buy sodas and only keep cold water in the office fridge.
Keep water cold in the fridge and add ice–good on a hot day
I generally don’t drink water with my lunch (I know! bad!), but I make sure to drink an equivalent amount of water to the drink I have.

keep a pitcher of water in the fridge so you’ll always have nice cold water available
I throw a few mint leaves into a pitcher of water — the mint gives a nice flavor.

I drink water all day and make it easy for myself. I have a large SIGG bottle and I carry it around the house with me, wash/refill it at night, and put it in the refrigerator. In the morning, I pull it out of the refrigerator and start all over again. It’s easy to grab when I’m leaving for the zoo or pool with the kiddos, too!
I don’t like drinking water. So I don’t. I drink a cup of coffee in the AM and milk with lunch and dinner. I think the whole “gotta be hydrated” thing is a goofy fad.
I got a refrigerator with a water dispenser. I love it! I can drink unlimited amounts of water
I don’t buy soda’s and I fill up water bottles(I reuse and reuse) and keep them in the fridge. When the kids come in from playing and I come in from jogging we run to the fridge and get our cold waters.
I just posted on Divine Caroline. I like to keep extra water in my tote because sometimes I forget my refillable water bottle.
I don’t buy anything to drink so I am forced to drink water. I also keep a Brita pitcher at work so water is on hand all the time.
I have the big plastic jug that I got from the hospital when I delivered my son full all the time and just sitting on the counter. This way I can sneak sips anytime I walk by. We have a Culligan type water dispenser that my husband got from work that was broken and he fixed it up. Our water is so cheap and cold all the time, no ice required!

I make lemon juice ice cubes. Keeps it cold and adds flavor.
I keep a 32 oz mug for water on my desk at work. I get at least 1 mug (32 oz) down by lunchtime. It goes down faster when it’s not too cold too.
I bring a huge bottle of water (not plastic!) with me when I run errands with my baby girl. When I hit a red light, then I take a big swig. It always keeps me hydrated.
I carry my Kleen Kanteen with me everywhere. I already drink lots of water, but a good way for me to drink extra is to eat anything with peanut butter, it always makes me thirsty. Another great way to drink more water is not to have other options in the house.
I am a subscriber!
I replaced my morning coffee with a huge mug of green tea!
I love my early morning coffee, but I make myself drink 16 oz of water beforehand. Helps me start the day hydrated!
I bring my water bottle to work and carry it with me if I am at my desk and in meetings.
I entered the Divine Caroline giveaway!
I keep a cup on my desk for water refills throughout the day. I also will fill a reusable water bottle with a couple ounces of Juicy Juice and then fill the rest with water. It provides just enough taste that it’s something different and appealing, but it’s really mostly water!
I always keep a mug on my desk at work and at home I fill a large mug and don’t go to bed until I drink it all!

I’ve been making myself drunk 12cups of water a day, my secret i can’t have anything BUT water.. You would be amazed when water is the only thing you are drinking how easy it goes down.. I have can 2L down before lunch!!
I stay hydrated by keeping a glass of water on my desk all day and when I go out to eat, I would rather drink free water than to pay for a soda.
We just bought a water filter pitcher, and just seeing it out on the counter and in the fridge is reminding me (and my kids) to drink more water. (The same thought apparently does not occur when I pass the faucet!)
I love ice cold water, so I keep a pitcher of water in the fridge and drinking water through a straw is a sure bet for me to drink lots more water.
I keep with me at all time a water bottle. I helps me make sure that I get all my water in for the day.
I never buy soda & I try to keep a full glass of water on hand all day
I drink it with lemon. We have also used cucumbers in our water, sound gross I know but it taste well and is good for you!( my doctor suggested it)
I bring my water bottle everywhere.
denise_22315(at)yahoo(dot)com
I set a goal and once I drink all my water then I allow myself a drink of my choice.
Ice cubes and a straw- make the world of difference! I love water!
I tell myself I have to drink so much water before I eat anything. If it is lunch or dinner I have to drink a full 8 oz. If it is a snack I have to drink 4 oz. It helps me drink plus I am not as hungry when I do eat.
I subscribe to momadvice.
I entered the $250 Divine Caroline Giveaway.
I add half water to the juices (OJ, grape, cranberry, etc.) that I drink, I make a lot of sun tea now that it’s warmer, and I only fill my water bottles half full, freeze them, and when I want ice cold water, I fill the balance with tap water.
All throughout the day I keep a glass full of water on the counter. I also drink a tall glass after brushing my teeth before bed.
Get one of those fun small (gallon size?) personal “water cooler” type bottles (that look like the 5 gallon sizes on real water coolers) that are really cute and keep it right on your desk or by anywhere you’re sitting. Then use one of your favorite glasses to sip the water from, perhaps with a paper umbrella for good measure.

I love lemon in my water, instead of carrying a lemon around all day, i grab lemon packets you find in the condiments section and add one to a bottle of water.
I do drink lots of cold, plain water, but sometimes ya gotta jazz it up a bit and I love Crystal Light!
Choose water with lunch! I chose water instead of juice or soda at lunch time for an easy way to reach my water goals.
drinking lots of water is so hard for me – I have to put something in it whether it is a squeeze of citrus, a little bit of crystal light, or a splash of some of the “vitamin waters” that are now on the market.
Eat watermelon. It is quite hydrating. I hope this counts.
water has 0 calories and no fat- that helps me to drink water and stay hydrated-because of the empty calories on regular drinks
I keep a bottle of water on the end table where I sit when I’m nursing. I can’t help but reach for it!
I also subscribe to MomAdvice.
I love Crystal Light! Its the only way I can drink water. I try to have water (with Crystal Light of course) first thing in the morning and usually I end up wanting more!

Since I am nursing, I try to drink water around my nursing sessions. That way I can keep hydrated.
I have to say that I am a huge fan of Crystal Light. When I was pregnant with my son I developed gestational diabetes and that is when I developed my love for Crystal Light. It added a great flavor to my water and worked with my gestational diabetes plan. I have fallen in love with the Rasberry Lemonade recently. And the Pomegranate one is great too.
I’m now following you on Twitter. Love this blog, so glad I discovered it.
my family drink lots of water… i don’t buy sodas or even koolaid and my kids are fans of crystal light!
I try to drink 16 oz. when I get hungry…that way I sneak in my 32 oz. pretty quickly…I get hungry often!
my family is a fan of water and crysal light , i don’t buy soda or Koolaid!
I would always put a lemon slice in my water but know I always reach for a lime slice or even a slice of an orange and it is a nice refreshing change.
Always have a sigg (aluminum bottle) ready with water. I have found that by carrying one with me I drink 3-4 (20some oz) a day.
i sneak water in by eating lots of fruits and carrying a stainless steel bottle with me.
I keep a glass of water next to my seat and drink a few sips at a time all day long.
I joined the challenge to try to make myself think about drinking water. I keep bottles of water here but need to grab those instead of a soda. Put the widget on my yahoo page so every time I check my email I see it and remember to get myself some water.
I carry a bottle in my car everywhere I go.
I have a hard time drinking water, so I add a lot of ice cubs to everything I’m drinking. I get more water throughout the day without even thinking about it.
I keep lemons/limes in the fridge to add to my water. I also change up my glass or bottle every so often so its a little more exciting to drink from something new. When at work I have to have my container (34oz) done by 11:00 and if if i’m not I will usually just slam it so its all taken care of and than I fill it up again so I can get the next one done….I need to have both done before leaving
I like lots of ice in a large glass of water always ready. When needing a new flavor to drink I add a little real juice to the water and ice.
I bought one of the green water bottles that they use on the Biggest Loser Ranch. I just graduated from high school, but daily I filled up my bottle with water and 2 packets of Crystal Light. By switching up the different flavors, it kept me interested in drinking my water
In addition to drinking water at meal times, after eating I crush ice in the blender, add some crystal light, and have an instant icee desert!
I have a med. prob. and have to drink 6-8 quarts a day. I wear a Camelback hydration system backpack around the house and, well everywhere but to work so I can sip all day. It holds a liter (my 2L wore out. The tube clips to my shoulder so the sippy tip is always handy.
I put a little bit of lemon or lime in my water and drink with a straw.
If the water is in sight, you are more likely to drink it (at least I am). So put a bottle of water in all the places you ’sit’…….car, desk, nightstand, couch, etc.

I always order water to drink instead of soda when I’m eating out at a restaurant. It’s not only better for my health, it’s cheaper too! Now if I could only get my hubby to do the same!!
I grab my reusable bottle of water when I go out the door every morning, and my rule is to have it gone by the time I get to work. It is effortless while driving.
I subscribe, too!
I put a couple bottles in the freezer and then when I am leaving to run errands for the day, I keep it in the car and by the time I get back in after a stop or two, it’s defrosting and I have ice cold water to drink and I don’t have to spend $$ on stopping for a bottle of Coke!
I keep a water bottle with me, at least M-F. I fill it up before I leave in the morning so I have water to drink on the way in to work, fill it up throughout the day, and then again before I leave.
Besides drinking water between meals, I only drink water with meals! I’ve noticed that other beverages (tea, soda, etc.) can totally change the way a really good meal tastes, but drinking water keeps all the tastes pure! I also only offer my children milk or water to drink with meals! They never get enough water!
I sneak in more water by using powdered drink mixes like crystal light and using them inbetween meals to keep me full and away from snacking on junk!

I rarely have anything other than water available in my refrigerator. That way my kids and I will go for a cold glass of water whenever we are thirsty. I also keep a reusable bottle of cold water on my desk and work and refill it with the ice sold water from the water cooler in the office. COLD water makes the difference for me!
I am your latest and greatest friend on Twitter (though I’m not sure how good I’ll be since I’m still learning how to use it)!
I’m really trying to increase my water intake and I like a lot of the suggestions on here.
I started carrying a 24 oz plastic water bottle so I always have water with me. Plus if I drink three full bottles, I actually get 9 (instead of the recommended
glasses of water a day. So it’s kind of a trick to get that extra one in there.
I’ve also made it part of my nighttime routine to fill up the bottle the night before and set it next to the bed, so I can start drinking from the moment I wake up in the morning. So even with the morning rush, I’ve still got a good hydrated start.
Since I drink it plain (if I want water I just want water–no lemon, no sparkle, no nothing) and I’m not too picky about the temperature, these ideas work for me.
Seems that my “8″ followed by a “)” turned into a smiley face with sunglasses when I posted! It was supposed to read “I actually get nine (instead of the recommended eight) glasses of water a day.
Sorry about that…
I am not “ANTI” H20,but I definitly do not drink enough. However, I have found that if I keep a bottle of water with me during the day by the end of the day it is usually gone!!!! I also can drink larger amounts if it is Ice water. I like it good and COLD!!!!!!
I drink glasses of water with my lunch and supper daily. I have discovered too, that it prevents me from overeating as well.
I’m not a fan of plain water unless it’s really hot outside and I’m really thirsty so I add Crystal Light On-the-go (Tea with Lemon) to my water and that helps me get my 8-8 oz. glasses in a day. Also, we keep our frig stocked with bottle water.
Everytime I fill my son’s sippy cup I fill my water glass. Teaching myself to stay hydrtaed and him how important water is!
crazy straws are a fun way also
I have a giant purple bottle I bought last summer from Happy Harry’s (local drug store)that holds 64oz. It has a large handle and is shaped like an ellipse. Something about it’s shape keeps me drinking all day long! And when I go out to eat, I drink only water. It hydrates me and saves me money!
I entered $250 Divine Caroline Giveaway and would be delighted to announce a win with you! Thank you for gathering and making this fun
I keep a bright water cup by the water dispencer..Every time I walk past, I just take a drink! Plus – I recently went to the doctor who commented on my face slimming down within the last month…(I’ve been drinking water regularly for the last month!) That was the encouragement I needed!

I keep Crystal Light and other water flavoring products in my purse, that way when I am at work or out to eat, I can still drink healthy! The slim design of the packages makes it easy to fit 20 or so in the cell phone holder of my purse.
Flavor the water with crystal light. I drink alot more, sometimes too much that way.
Hi I always have either a mug or a stainless water bottle with me. I just can’t be with out. I find with that stuck to me I’m always sipping my drink.
Cheers

Hi I’ve entered on Divine Caroline too.

I try to fill a large water bottle with a lid every morning when I get up. I add lemon slices and ice and try to carry it with me all day. I’ll add water to it as needed and try to remind myself how much money I’m saving by not drinking anything else.
Drink with a staw always helps me to get my water in. I also don’t buy soda.
I have a big glass that I keep near the sofa byt the TV set and then I have another one in the office. That way I have water everywhere where I am.
I always have a bottle of water in my car and in my purse that way whenever I am thirsty I have water handy.

I drink a big glass of ice cold water first thing in the morning — helps wake me up, and gets about 12 oz in me to get a running start on my water intake.
I make myself have a glass of water before meals, while I am prepping them.
In the summer I like making my crystal light into a freeze pop – just get a popsicle container, pour in your favorite flavor (already mixed) and freeze! Presto – cheap and so good on a hot day
I get my water in by keeping a bottle of water on my desk by my work phone and keep filling it up.
For about two months I’ve been using crystal light and it’s been great. I have found so many ways to drink more water throughout the days and weeks. For example, the other day I went to Dennys and the waiter asks what l would like to drink in for a minute I thought about it, and then I said water. So after receiving my water, I happen to carry with me the Crystal Light “on The Go “packet and I used it in my water. The Waiter even laugh a little, then she said do you thing girl… So for that day I intake more water then I attended to. I also carry the Crystal light with me to work so I can drink more water during my eight hour shift and it works.
I’m a recovering coffee fiend (well I try)…Since I have an unnatural attachment to my stainless steal travel mug, which was formerly filled with coffee ALL the time, I keep it full of ice water. Interestinly once I get the first sip I can’t get enough of that refreshing cold H2O!
I’m a recovering coffee fiend (well I try)…Since I have an unnatural attachment to my stainless steal travel mug, which was formerly filled with coffee ALL the time, I keep it full of ice water. Interestingly once I get the first sip I can’t get enough of that refreshing cold H2O!
I have a gallon jug of water sitting on my kitchen counter and whenever I walk by, I drink a glass of water.
I have an insulated mug that is filled with water at all times when I’m home and have a reusable water bottle that I never leave home without. If it’s there you’ll drink it instead of reaching for something else. Watermelon is also a fun way to get some water!

I FIND THAT IS I START FIRST THING IN THE MORNING I CAN DRINK THE RECOMMENDED AMOUINT AND WITH A STRAW
I encourage my own water intake by keeping my glass near the kitchen sink and drinking a little each time I wash my hands. For my boys, they each have a fun container to carry around to help them.
I always have a water bottle with me. It’s like a part of my body!
I always a bottle of water with me, it’s like part of my body!
Every mom schould carry a bottled water with them just in case your little ones are thirsty.
I find the only way to get myself to drink more water is to always have it handy.
It’s not creative, but I just make sure I carry water with me everywhere. I put my water bottle in one of the bottle holders in my son’s diaper bag, so it’s at hand while we’re out and about.
Before I allow myself a can of diet soda, I must finish 2 bottles of water. Knowing that I want my diet soda for lunch, this encourages me to drink water in the morning hours.
I like to add a dash of fresh fruit juices into my water, and lots of crushed ice! grandkids love it too..
thank you
