  1. I’ll be playing outside with the kids and enjoying my surroundings!

  2. I have a cleaning job that day and we will most likely be outside most of the day–doing school work, gardening, enjoying spring.

  3. My 6yo daughter is really taken with “helping the Earth” as she calls it. So, we plant a garden, are learning to recycle and she’s constantly scrutinizing water and energy usage (tickles me to see her this way).
On Earth day we plan to use some recycled items to make an herb garden for the house.

Should be a great craft and learning time. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  4. We will spend most of the day outside in the veggie garden, listening to the birds, stirring compost, and playing with worms. The Saturday following, our town is having a celebration with music, etc. that we will be joining as well!

  5. I love the fact that all the items are earth friendly-what a great way to teach our kids that you can have fun and be green at the same time!

  8. We will be planting more flowers in our garden to celebrate Earth Day! If my daughter was a little older I would take her to see that movie but I guess we will have to wait until it comes out on DVD.

  10. Since its in the middle of the week (work and school) it will probably be a quick trip to pick up trash at the bike trail.

But for us nearly every day is something “Earth” day. Just like Christy, my 6 year old puts me to shame with his greenness (and people call me a treehugger).

  11. On Earth Day, we will be spending as much of the day as possible outside. Hopefully the weather cooperates! If not, I’ll plant the seeds with my son indoors and make a map of where he’d like to plant them once they’ve sprouted!

We’ve been mulching our lawn for a few years now (instead of bagging it up and hauling it to the dump), but this year we’ve added a 2nd yard to care for (my dads) and guess what… he’s upgrading to mulching too – we are hoping for this crazy Idaho weather to ease up so we can get out and get these lawns mulched on Earth Day. Maybe we’ll even get out and get the garage cleaned up and haul all thoses piles of newspapers to the recycler as well. Happy Earth Day everyone!
