My four kids and I love making ornaments together during the holidays. Everyone contributes to the designs we select, and we all work on them together over a few weeks. We also love giving them away!

My favorite holiday activity is baking and decorating Christmas cookies! My girls will be 19 months this year, but they will be participating although they are a bit young, still. It is a wonderfully fun time of togtherness for my family!

My oldest daughter and I love to make crafts together and this is something we try to do for every holiday throughout the year, not just the Christmas season. We also really enjoy baking and giving the goodies to those we love.

My favorite holiday activity is going to Temple Square in Salt Lake with family to look at the lights and then having hot chocolate after.

My kids are still little (3 years and 8 months) but last year I decorated cookies with my (then) 2 year old, and she just had a blast! I think that we will have to continue the tradition of making sugar cookies and just going crazy with the frosting and decorations! It was so much fun!

As far as MY favorite activity, I love just sitting in my living room with all the lights off except for the Christmas tree lights, and drinking a hot drink and listening to Christmas music!

My favorite holiday activity is a day-after-Christmas breakfast we host for our neighbors. Once the weather gets cold, we rarely see each other because everyone gets busy with school activities and no one plays outside anymore. Since it’s the day after Christmas, everyone is usually home and all the Christmas rush has subsided.

Our favorite family activity is decorating the family Christmas tree. It is so fun to take out the ornaments that have been added every year, including the one that has our family photo, and remember and talk about them.

I love making cookies with my mom (and my sister when she lived nearby). I am looking forward to when my daughter will make cookies with us.

I love making cookies with my nephews- the icing-and-candy designs they come up with are great, as well as the stories they tell along with them!

Our favorite Christmas activity is to drink hot cocoa while listening to Christmas music and playing games or decorating the house.

My favorite holiday activity is a bit wacky. My mom and I both have horrible eyesight and wore glasses when I was a kid. Our Christmas moment was always aftermy brothers went to bed on Christmas eve – we’d sit in front of the lit up tree and count to 3 and take our glasses off. The lights would allmelt together to make the most fantastic “sight”!

We love doing Secret Santas. It is so fun to plan surprises for friends and neighbors and then ring and run.

Our favorite family activity is decorating a gingerbread house together. We have Christmas music in the background and my husband, myself and the three kids really get into it.

We love taking drives along the roads to see all the lights. I also personally make it a point to make a bunch of treats and deliver them (husband in tow) to the neighbors – even the ones that don’t know my name get some!

My favorite activity during Christmas is attending our Christmas Eve service at church. My pastor always writes an amazing Christmas story to deliver that evening, which I anxiously await every year. The worship service if full of my church family and always seems so warm and inviting. And I just love how that time calms me down on Christmas Eve and helps me focus on my faith and why I celebrate such a special holiday. I always return home calm, happy, and full of God’s love.

Our fav is definitely making cookies and goodies to give to all of our friends and families. It always gets us in the spirit of Christmas

Our favorite activity during the holidays is to go down to New York City and see the tree at Rockefeller Plaza and walk around and take in all the decorated windows, etc. It all feels so festive and never fails to put us in the holiday spirit.

My favorite Christmas activity is setting up the train and all the houses and people and ‘trimmings’ that go with it.
To be honest, my cousin sets up the train for us, I’d probably start a fire trying to hook up the electrical stuff, but we love putting the cars on the tracks and adding all the other stuff.

I love to decorate the tree with the family. It just puts me in the holiday mood.

My favorite activity is wrapping gifts. No matter how much you try to get them wrapped early, it seems there is always the last minute stash. My family would divide up into 2 rooms and have Christmas music playing. It was so much fun to try to get everyone’s stuff wrapped without them seeing!

Our favorite family activity is drinking hot cider, listening to the roar of the fire and putting the tree up and decorating it.

We also love to drive around while singing carols looking at the beautiful Christmas lights.

Putting up our Christmas tree and walking through McAdenville which is known as “Christmas Town USA.” Every house in the town is decorated with lights. It’s beautiful!

Last year my new favorite tradition was waking up my 1 year old son for his first Christmas morning!

Each Christmas Eve we host a gathering for all our friends who are single, have no family to be with,or would otherwise be home alone.

Opening presents on x-mas day and spending all day with my children playing with the new toys and being thankful we can all be together.
Then we head into town to the holiday of lights display.

My 5 year old daughter and I love getting some of those necklace or bracelet kits from Oriental Trading and we make beautiful little trinkets for her to share with cousins, grandmas and aunts as well as with her teachers, coaches and friends. We start early—like right after Halloween and make a couple of different kinds and then we are ready to spread holiday cheer as well as having a fun mom/daughter activity at home.

We love going to Christmas Tree Lane which is a house that people go all out on decorating. They have Santa there, rides, and hot chocolate. It’s so much fun.

I love making oranments. My daughter is 10 mths old, can’t wait till she is old enough to help!

We love riding the Santa train at the NC Trasportation Museum. We take pictures w/ Santa & he gives each child an orange and candy cane. Growing up my grandfather loved trains and the railroad. We want to pass that love and tradition on to our daughter. My dad even made the grandchildren their own real train. He rides them in it each year in a small Christmas parade locally.

Every Christmas Eve we get the kids dressed in their footy pajamas and make hot cocoa for the road. We climb into our van and drive around different neighborhoods looking at Christmas decorations and singing Christmas carols. It’s such a great way to get the kids relaxed and ready for bed so Santa can get to wrapping the presents!

I always took a nap under my tree after the Christmas gifts were all open. Now, I can nap with my daughter. We will need a bigger tree:)

my favorite holiday activity is putting up our real christmas tree. After it’s decorated we lay under it with all the lights off in the house. It’s beautiful and the kids love it!

The kids always roll out of bed early, so we let them dig into their stockings while us grownups (parent and grandparents) get coffee before settling into the present exchange. It is the same way things were done when I was a kid!

On Christmas Eve, we open gifts from each other, then go to Christmas Eve Mass. The next morning, Santa has arrived for everyone in the family!

Every year on Black Friday we take down the fall decorations and put up our tree and other Christmas decorations.

My mother in law, sister in laws, and I try to make ornaments and cookies together. When my kids and my sister in laws kids are a bit older they will join in.

I love winter, growing up I was always outside. So I think my favorite thing to do with the kids is going tobogganing.

Our favorite family activity is treating our friends to a “ring and run”. We spoil one family every year with 12 nights of goodies based on “The 12 Days of Christmas”.

My favorite Christmas activity would have to be decorating our tree! This year will be a lot more interesting, though. Our little girl is 21 months old, so she will really be fun to watch as we put the tree up and get the decorations all ready!!

I love doing a cookie exchange each year with my friends. And I’ll be making cookies with my 2 year old this year.

We go up to my in-laws first thing Christmas morning, instead of having a big dinner we have a big Christmas breakfast and for dinner we order Chinese food.

I love getting in the car with our pj’s on and head to the holiday of lights display at the local park and drive through with the family. It is just fun to see my son’s reactions each year and reminds me to enjoy them again from his age standpoint.

I love to pile the kids into the car, get some hot chocolate and drive all over town looking at all of the wonderful and festive Christmas lights while listening to our favorite Christmas music!

My favorite activity is getting together with all of our familyand baking goodies, talking and catching upmon each others lives. I also include a picture of my youngest son, Joey, that passed away 4 years ago, on our table of goodies; and I plan to include a picture of my grandma that passed away this past March. I do this because it helps me feel they are still part of the festivities that they loved so much!!! At night, we then go see all the beautiful Christmas light displays in our town and surrounding areas.

My favorite Holiday activity is the baking. When I was growing up, my mom didn’t spend much time with us kids, but my grandmother always point of baking for days WITH us. We would wear crazy hair nets, tell stories and learn new ones. I have a picture of my dh when we first started dating and my grandmother mad him wear some cellophane bowl cover.

We have now passed the tradition down to our daughters, minus the cellophane. I am so thankful for all we have learned from our family.

I just had my first grandbaby this month but Included in the package is a set of 4 year old twins. I would love to have this and we could have a fun time when mom and dad go out for some alone time.

My favorite thing is to wrap all the gifts and put them under the tree ..So fun !

Every year for as long as I can remember, my family always loads in the van and goes driving to look at Christmas lights. We always make a stop at the same little place for hot coco. It’s something I did with my parents, then my kids, and now my grandkids.

My son is 3 this year so I’m learning all kings of stuff to start our OWN traditions. We liked making a Christmas countdown calendar that we both color and put on the fridge. Then we’re gonna make a gingerbread house….something I haven’t done in years!

Growing up my mom never baked cookies with us. The one year that I begged and begged her to, she bought box mixes and that is how we baked. This is my son’s first year and I plan on baking cookies with him. I know that he won’t know what is going on, but it will become a tradition that I will enjoy.

My favorite part is making handmade gifts and homemade baked gift baskets. I love making something special for each person, knowing I am giving of myself. It is a great feeling. One you really can’t get at the mall.

My favorite Christmas activity is when my whole family (10 siblings, 12 grandkids & grandma and grandpa) Go to a retirement home a couple days before Christmas and sing Christmas songs to the residents. I am always amazed at how much they seem to enjoy and appreciate it. My family and I were at my in-laws for last Christmas and I realized that that was what I missed the most.
I love it!!!

Now, when she is alseep, my favorite activity for myself is to grab a glass of wine, sit in front of the fireplace and wrap gifts!

My girls & I enjoy making crafts. We’ve been making Christmas ornaments, an advent wreath, and a Thanksgiving turkey centerpiece this fall.

We get up way early on Christmas day and make scones or monkey bread. While it’s cooking we do our Christmas festivities and then eat the yummy food after.

I am the mom of six children and our favorite thing to do during the holidays is to play board games. Its an activity that the kids look forward to every year so we try to buy a new board game each year. We share a lot of laughs!!!

Our kids always anticipate cutting our own tree at a huge Christmas tree farm and taking a train ride afterwards.

We get together with my siblings and their kids at our parents’ house on Christmas Eve. Supper is always fried ham sandwiches on homemade bread. Late-night snacks include pizza and Christmas munchies. The grandkids (starting with the youngest, ending with the oldest) get their Christmas gifts from Gram and Gramp before we go home.

My favorite holiday activity is chatting with family.

My daughter and I enjoy making chocolate for our friends, family and neighbors in addition to making craft items to give to those who live in a near by nursing home. We love “HANDS ON ACTIVITIES”

We also have several traditions including making cookies for Santa and driving around looking at Christmas Lights on Christmas Eve Night.

My daughter has a December birthday and next year she wants to have a party where the guest will bring gifts for Toys For Tots or for the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

THere use to be a place we went to on christmas eve called the cripsmas place. It all went to charity. TOns of light displays. They closed it last year due to a death in there family. I wish i could have taken more years there.. I also love watching the christmas story.

My daughter ( who is now 18), we take one weekend before Christmas make cookies all weekend. We make about 8 different kinds, 4 kinds of chocolate candy. The ones we really like we take to a cookie swap on Sunday! Its lots of fun and then we bring home even more cookies! Its so special that we can still do this together every year. No matter how old she is and she still wants to.

I have a two year old and I find that our fun is being in the kitchen together. She gets her own mixing bowl and spoons and pans to mock each and every move I make during holiday preperations!

Our favorite activity is to make a Gingerbread house with our son on the first day of dec and then we see how long we can go with out anyone being the first to sneak a nibble of the house and if you get caught sneaking a bite you, then its no more nibbling for you!! Ha Ha

“Klutz rocks!” Our two sons help me string popcorn and cranberries for tree garland. We also put up our family tree and then each son puts a tree with in their room with their own handmade ornaments from school, Sunday School, home, etc.

Favorite holiday activity… WOW, this is a difficult one. Any activity that gathers family together some of my all time favorites decorating, baking, watching classic holiday movies, home made decorations, sitting by the fire and talking. As you can tell I am a sap for my family, nothing wrong with that though. Happy holidays to all!!!!!

I love just spending time with family over Christmas.

Our favorite holiday activity is first going to get our fresh Christmas tree and then decorating it, listening to Christmas music….We then make our tasty Christmas cookies and then sit around and enjoy looking at our tree with all the lights in the dark and eating cookies. Then we watch some holiday movies and take in all in…IF we are lucky we may enjoy a bit of snow, to go with it~!

We bake cookies for a family cookie swap on Christmas Eve. We love to bake and deorate the cookies and the swap is fun for all!

Our favorite activity is putting the ornaments on the tree. We collect ornaments from all the places we’ve been, and the girls get SO excited as they take out the ornaments & remember what we did when we got each ornament. They are so happy, and so am I!

Every year when we are putting away the ornaments, we write what we wish for the next year. When we open the box the following year we read them to see how close we got and how blessed we have been.

I didn’t have that many traditions or great memories growing up so after getting married and starting a family I wanted to make sure that my kids have them. My favorite is decorating the house for Christmas. I just love having all that stuff around all the time. If I could I would leave it up year round. And letting our little girl put things up where she wants them lets her have a big role too.

Every Christmas Eve we unwrap one gift, one that we all know what it is but still the unwrapping part is part of the excitement…of course!! Everyone in the house opens up new christmas eve pj’s, even visiting guests if there are any over nighters. Then we all get changed sit on the floor in front of the fireplace and eat dinner. Its a tradition that I started when I fist got married 20 years ago, now others have begun the same one which makes me smile and I know that my kids will also carry it on.

We can not wait until this year, because his sissy Catalina is now 17 months and is gonna really enjoy helping momma and big brother. I can already picture those cute little smiles with frosting all over them, oh I can not wait.

Every year, we make a bunch of cookies. The kids can’t help with many, but they love to help with the cut out cookies. Then, we put together plates of cookies to take to school for the teachers, to share with the neighbors and take to work. While we bake, we have Christmas music/movies playing in the background.

We really enjoy baking cookies and making special candies for our neighbors and church friends. Of course, we make enough to save and eat later. We sure don’t deprice ourselves from the goodies!!!!

When we lived in England we found out about Christmas Crackers. It is a great tradition.

My favorite holiday activity is putting the ornaments on the tree! I have lots of old ones from my mom (her childhood) and then ones from my childhood that she has given me. A number of years ago, I started collecting ornaments on my travels. Now, when I decorate the tree with MY family, we can look at all of the ornaments and know that they have a story!

I love baking with my son who is 7. It does’nt matter what the cookies look like in his eyes they are the most beutiful thing.

My favorite holiday activity is setting up the Christmas tree. It brings the whole family together and we each have our own “job” and it is fun to look at all the ornaments we got when we were kids.

The candy making, I try to give it away but admit I end up eating a LOT of it.

My family and I love to go to the camp and have the decorations on the tree and Santa comes with gifts and everything.

It is so much fun and a new, special tradition for our family. Another fun one for us is make your own ice cream sundaes on New Years Eve, a sweet way to start the New Year!

We have a tradition each year of making italian fig cookies. It is so much fun & such a great acitivity to pass down from our heritage. Everyone looks forward to these treats.

Baking Christmas cookies! When I was a teenager, a friend & I would bake cookies and distribute them to all of our neighbors. Now, my husband & I look forward to decorating Gingerbread men and women for his office!

My favorite Christmas activity is decorating the tree and watching the lights twinkle in my children’s eyes as they adore the completed tree. We make some personalized balls/ornaments to add to the tree.

My favorite activity with my kids is baking cookies. My pre-schoolers love “helping” and spending quality time together. I also love that they are learning valuable skills and developing creativity.
