In my opinion, Cozi is one of the best free online tools that there is. I really just love the look and the feel of this calendar. I loved this calendar when it first came out, but they have made more recent addition and you can now sync to Outlook, which makes adding events a whole lot easier. This software is made with a mom in mind. It is easy to use, color-coded (for each family member), includes pictures of your sweet little ones, helps you with your grocery list, has calendars with alerts letting you know when your appointments are and you can send love notes to your hubby…all from one central location. Left your grocery list at home? Just call Cozi’s toll-free number from any mobile phone and have your list read to you or sent as a text message.
In addition to the ways that moms can get their shopping lists and calendars already on any mobile phone via text message using their toll free number, Cozi now has a mobile version especially for the iPhone and Windows Mobile phones. Families can now sign-in and access their Cozi account using their mobile web browsers. They can add and edit shopping lists and view and edit their family calendar using the mobile version of Cozi right from their iPhone. This is a new feature and you can learn more about it here.
Thanks to Mom Central for giving us the opportunity to spread the word about Cozi’s new features.
‘Tis the season for warming our homes with our fireplaces or space heaters and lighting beautiful candles to add warmth and life to our homes. ‘Tis also the season for heart wrenching stories of loss of homes and families due to fires. It is scary to think of what could happen if such an emergency occurred and how you would handle it.
Liberty Mutual has setup a great little website for parents called “Be Fire Smart” to get some very important information about fire safety for both children and their parents. There are lots of great resources including a wonderful downloads page with a list of hazards, a downloadable fire escape plan, and even a fire safety coloring sheet for your child. All of these resources are free and so important during this season of the year, in particular. It is a different and unique approach towards educating because the site is a very interactive way to learn about fire safety.
We will be focusing this next month on family safety and giving away tools that will help with family safety so be checking back in January for more safety advice and resources to keep your homes safe.
Thank you to Mom Central for letting us be a part of this great blog tour to raise awareness about fire safety and please visit Be Fire Smart and brush up on your fire safety for your family.

We are excited to be a part of another Mom Central blog tour and touring today is the newly improved Clorox 2. I have always been a fan of this product because it is a color-safe bleach and the women in my family have a bad history of sloshing bleach and ruining our pretty things. This Clorox 2 version is made for women like me who like to have things nice and bright, but prefer not to have splattered bleach stains on their clothes.
The best part is that I have found that soaking my clothes in a scoop of Clorox 2 and a pail of cold water is a very effective stain-fighter. Add an equal scoop of Cascade diswashing detergent (just the powdered stuff) and you have a recipe from our grandma on how to treat any formula and baby food stain. Don’t soak it longer than 24 hours, but I promise that it really and truly works!
Want to learn more about the new Clorox 2? Head on over to Dare To Be Colorful to learn more details!
How would you like to get a free bottle of Clorox 2 to take their Clorox 2 challenge? I’ve got 4 more coupons for a free Clorox 2. With the coupon, you can choose between the 44oz liquid or 49.2oz dry and take the Clorox 2 challenge for yourself.
To enter to win, tell me one laundry tip that can help our readers. Entries must be received by Tuesday (12/2) at 8PM EST. Sorry- only US residents can be included and all entries must follow the guidelines in order to be entered for the giveaway. Thank you and good luck!
I am a big fan of the new Greenworks cleaning products from Clorox. I have tried a few of the cleaners and have found that while I enjoy making my own cleaners for my counter tops and bathroom surfaces, I prefer the convience of a store-bought toilet bowl cleaner rather than making a witch’s brew of vinegar & baking soda in my toilet.
I was attracted to these products because they were sold in my regular grocery store and were very close in pricing to the hazardous chemicals on the shelf. Cheap & green- Score! I have found that they work just as well as the other cleaners I use so I am pleased with my past purchases from this line of products. I feel more and more satisfaction with our life as we make more & more green choices. Anyone else feel this way?
I am participating this month in a 30 Days to Natural Blog Tour partnered through Mom Central & the Clorox company. This tour is intended to help our readers know about the new 30 Days to Natural website and what you can do with it.
Through this website you can sign up for daily email or get tips sent to your phone, providing a new idea each day for ways that you can begin living a greener life. They also offer a downloadable kitchen checklist with a few tips on it for ways that you can green up that kitchen routine. If you ask me though, save the paper and read the list online- after all, keep your routine as green as you can!
What green changes have you made in your home? What green products do you buy regularly?
