I have just sent out my 2nd newsletter (http://www.listplanit.com/categories/20070611) today.  I am very excited, but a little disappointed that I only have 27 on my list.  I have put a lot of effort into my newsletter and am wondering how I can quickly increase the size of the mailing list (without spamming).  My website has over 200 lists, checklists, and planning pages and Free Lists is what I offer as an incentive for signing up for the newsletter.  Does anyone else have any suggestions?

You have a nice looking site and your newsletter is very informative. How about a blog with daily organizational tips and a message board? That would bring you more traffic and you could also make some money through ads on the site.  Keep us posted.  Smiley

Linking from your site to other sites is one effective way we've found to draw traffic. As backwards as it sounds, it actually works. The owners of the other sites see what sites are linking to them and investigate anything new. They'll see your site and if it's interesting, they oftentimes link back, returning the favor and sending new visitors to you.

firstly are you getting enough traffic? If this is the case, I had a look at your site and I don't think there's enough attention brought to your free newsletter input field. try making the whole box a different color, something that will stand out and grab the reader's attention (that of course is if this is one of the main aims of your site).

A good way to test your success is to work out the conversion rate of your visitors that sign up now and then compare it to once you make changes.

My advice would be to make the box a color that stands out a little more off the page, then reduce the wording and make it shorter. so its quick to read, and then ensure you have some small text above or beside the field that states to 'enter your email:'

hopefully those things should help a little. let us know how u go!
