--Oh, summer birthdays. Ailane's birthday is in December, and she has always wanted to have a Luau Birthday out by our pool. It's not going to happen though, in December. Maybe I should throw her a "half-birthday" party. What's the etiquette for something like that? I wouldn't want her friends to bring presents, but I know some people would feel inclined too. Hmm, something to think about..."
