Progress Report: Day One in the Kitchen

My fridge is clean- whoohoo! Isn't it all about the little things in life? You know it is bad when you are sniffing the interior of the fridge because it smells so darn fresh. You also know it is bad if you think this is as big of a deal as I did!
My refrigerator was G-R-O-S-S! I would elaborate, but I am embarrassed to say that I found something from September lurking towards the back. Yeah, you could say that this needs to happen a tad more often in my house. Lucky for me, I have some amazing readers who won't shame me for it!
Please feel free to share a link to your own progress or just discuss how disgusting the task was...or be smug cause you are one of those people. You know who you are... fridge cleaners!
Day one is behind me and I look forward to sharing my progress on day two. Gooooo team!

"Thanks for the inspiration! I clean mine out fairly regularly and figured it didn't really need it today. Well, I decided to clean the outside of it, ended up moving and cleaning under it. It was looking so nice I decided to go ahead and give the inside a quick clean too. When I opened it, something smelled! Hubby had knocked over some chicken broth the other day and I thought I had gotten it all cleaned up...wrong! I ended up cleaning the entire inside. And I loved using baking soda instead of chemicals - I wasn't coughing!! Yay!
But then I couldn't stop - I didn't mean to, but I ended up deep cleaning the ENTIRE kitchen! Needless to say, I'm exhausted!
But I still plan to print your pages for the rest of the week to keep in my household notebook for future reference. THANKS!"

"Well, I didn't work much in the kitchen yesterday, but I DID work on my son's room. Egad, but that boy had WAY too many toys! I took 1.5 black trash bags' worth to Goodwill. I also went through his closet (which is where I store my off-season clothes) and added a bag and a half of clothes to the toys. Feels SO good!
I plan to tackle the kitchen tomorrow. I have too much running around to do today.
Even though I'm not on your same schedule, it's nice to know that others are out there working as hard as I am on spring cleaning. Thanks for the inspiration!!"

"I started cleaning my fridge out last Saturday, so it is half way there! I wasn't feeling well and had to stop--but now I'm feeling better so I should finish the job! =)
I never thought about cleaning the coils, so I'll have to pull my fridge out and see what they look like!"
