Red Hot Momma on a Budget

I would like to give a big thanks to Money Saving Mom for sharing the best deal on Jane Cosmetics. I just hit our local Walgreens and got twelve products- eyeliners, blushes, concealers, powder, and lip glosses for stupid cheap.

How stupid cheap? Well, I bought twelve products and a Diet Coke (just because I deserved it, after getting us all ready to go out in that cold today) and I paid $2.54. Total savings- $46.54. Read Crystal's post on how to get your cosmetics for free and be sure to leave her a little thank-you for all of her hard work!

Being a Red Hot Momma is a hot topic on blogs these days. I guess everyone is feeling the frumpy mom syndrome and many have resolutions to improve it.

I get super frumpy in the winter- how can you not? It is so brutal cold and I have hard time looking pretty when I have to dress like an Eskimo. Stupid Indiana weather! Brrrrr...

When spring comes though...you better watch out! I am going to be walking the runways...or the um, the hallways in my house. Whatever!

So slap on some lip gloss and your giant parka, ladies!

"Thanks for the tip! I'm from South Bend and was curious about whether Walgreen's permitted you to use a coupon for each item (including the free one) and, if so, which store you visited for your purchases."

"Thank you for the link and traffic! You've alerted me to so many great deals, I'm glad I was able to post one which benefited you, too!

Looking great without spending a fortune is a fun challenge for me and free makeup always helps. Losing 10 pounds helps, too, but I'm still working on that... ;)

(Hey, at least I have the excuse of having had a baby in the last year, but for how slowly these last few pounds are coming off, I'm afraid I'm still going to be using that excuse when it's no longer an excuse - like when my child is 5!)"

"Amy, Thanks for the link love from your 'blogs' link. I didn't even realize it was linked to me until my mouse accidentally hovered over it. lol

I've got to tell ya...I was feeling SOOOOOOOOOO frumpy this week. I have an 8 month old baby, and haven't felt like my old self in a LONG time since I have 20 lbs to lose. I refuse to buy fat clothes ... so I wear the same ole things over and over and over thinking this will motivate my sloppy butt to lose weight. I used to wear oh-so-stylish things and heels...yes HEELS...everyday! I live in sketchers now. I haven't had a decent haircut in almost a year. Well, I just got an OH-SO- FAAAAAABULOUS haircut by an amazing sylist (I'm so not going to share how much I spent because my readers would be upset at me for not finding a bargain! ha) and I feel so much better! Now, I want to shed the weight and feel even more fabulous!

I want to join you on the runways. Let's meet up in Spring with our hot-selves and make everyone stare....the 'good' stare not the 'who do they think they are?' stare! hahahaha

I'm off to go see how to get myself some free makeup. I love me some makeup!!! :)

"Anonymous- Yup, I used a coupon per item. I had 12 items and 12 coupons. It says that you can use one product per coupon, not per purchase, on the coupon itself.

I hit up the Granger one- stay away from it because I am cleaning it out :) Just kidding!

Crystal- You rock!! Of course you can use your kid as an excuse for weight gain when they are five. Doesn't everyone :) Thanks again!

Melody- You are always so good for a laugh. We definitely need to hook up in the spring and show our hot selves off- ;) Thanks for always cheering me up!! Hope your sheet shopping is successful!"

"OH, You go girl, with you $4.00 makeup!!! That is awesome. I had seen that post and was hoping to go do some saving myself. I've used several Jane products and like them very well.

I hope I can shake some of my frump loose! I've been trying. But you are right about just wanting to wrap up in the winter.

Blessings,
Karla

"I'm a new subscriber to your feed. I'm a little hesitant to use these coupons...just because I'm the original "if it seems to good to be true, it probably IS" gal, but...hesitation aside, I will give it a whirl and see if I can 'get away with it'. :-)

Thanks for your great blog."

"Good luck! I just went back today with fourteen more coupons and got the rest of the stuff I wanted (including the Bare Minerals type make-up). I tried several of the products and love them. What a steal!"

"Can you believe I missed out on this deal--even though I read it at Crystals, had a reader email the details to me, and was reminded of it here on your blog?!?

This is a clear case of not getting my priorities in order : )"
