hi, love your website, I stumbled upon it today and I am honored on the enthusiasm that Aldi shoppers have as I have worked for the company for over 9 years. I do have a comment for one of your respondence that said that items weren't put back into the cooler or freezer in a timely manner.

Our store is quite busy but we always take time to put this stuff back as we shop there too. If things weren't being put back in a timely manner it is possible someone wasn't doing their job. Remember that there is a money back guarentee if you don't like something.

Amy keep up the good work:)

Amy,
Thankyou so much for all your work & help! It is such a blessing to so many households. I did check out the Aldie website and though some of the recipes looked interesting, many included ingredients I have never seen at our store. I have yet to see fresh herbs, veal (???),lasagna pasta and alfredo sauce...to mention a few. If nothing else you can use them to spin off your own recipes and make them "truly Aldi" as are your other recipes! Keep up the good work and thanks again!

Amy,
I went on the Aldi website and looked over some of their recipes and to be honest I wasn't impressed. I am a stay-at-home Mom of three and I need easy, straight forward recipes (nothing fancy). I was turned off right away by the names of the dishes, they just sounded out of reach. Call me picky but I would much rather get my recipes from someone who understands my way of life and not some board room executive. Thanks so much for all your work. Nichole

be very careful if you purchase refrigerated or freezer products from aldi because if you are an aldi shopper you already know they have a limited amount of people on staff and some of those so-called "keep refrigerated or frozen" items don't make it in a timely manner and this I know because I use to work there and if I purchase something from the refrigerator or freezer I make sure I grab it from the back. There have been plenty of times when a customer has changed their mind about making a purchase and that product gets left in the check-out area inside of a cart well with such a small staff how fast do you think those cooler items get to the cooler? Don't believe me check it out yourself!!! In any given store you will probably see a shopping cart somewhere near the checkout with groceries in it "that's Un-shop" and that cart sits for a while until a staff member can get to it and put the product back including refrigerator and freezer items. And yes I feel like they did steal your idea just like they stole my vacation pay and the department of labor had to fight to get it back. Good luck and beware

I don't think that you should be upset at all by Aldi's email or menu planner. Most of the grocery chains have something similar, so its' not like they stold your idea. I enjoy browsing recipes all over the net, but let's face it, nobody has 'original" recipes, most are from another recipe site. Good luck in all of your ventures, you're doing a great job!

I've only been hitting this site (Aldi Queen) for a few weeks -- THANK YOU for sharing your information!! Aldi's menu site is not as thorough as this one, and is cumbersome to use. To be fair, I have seen at Aldi: lamb (ground fresh and frozen chops, just yesterday), and tofu. But their site is commercial, designed to make them money; it is not designed to save us money. The food is chi-chi poo-poo, and they have so few recipes for real families. Because of this site, I have re-discovered Aldi, and am in love again. Thanks!

I agree. I don't like Aldi taking the credit for something you started. That stinks! Jakesmom

Okay, I finally had the time to poke around this site. Clearly, these are not all-Aldi recipes. Just look at these titles:

Tofu in Lime Ginger Sauce
Tofu with Artichoke and Mushroom Ragu
have you ever seen Tofu at Aldi?

Lamb Steaks and Artichoke Hearts
Lamb Steaks (or any Lamb, for that matter?)

Broccoli and Canadian Bacon in Phyllo
Phyllo??????

just a few examples I gleaned from a quick look. While the recipes look tasty in a lot of cases, you will be very disappointed if you wish to pick up all the ingrediant's at Aldi!

Amy,

I am fairly new to the site and have been shopping at Aldi for about 2 months now. My grandparents have an Aldi down by them in South Jersey and have always said it was a great place to shop. I have to say if it wasn't for your site and the fact that I am now a sahm living on only my dh's income,I would have never started shopping at Aldi. I enjoy your site and will continue to use it over the Aldi site. I think it is awful that they have given you no recognition for your efforts except a lousy email. It is because of your site, the shopping lists and menu planners that I now am an Aldi shopper. Keep up the good work, there are many of us that appreciate all your hard work.
