Taco Soup

Taco Soup

1 pound ground turkey
1 can chili beans, with liquid
1 can kidney beans, with liquid
1 can whole kernel corn, with liquid
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
2 cups water
1 package of taco seasoning mix

In a medium skillet, cook the ground beef until browned over medium heat. Drain & set aside. Place the ground beef, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, & taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend and cook on Low setting for eight hours.

Serve alone or can be topped with shredded cheese & sour cream.

Serve with tortilla chips.

    This was our dinner tonight – Yum! I wasn’t sure how it would turn out with all the liquid from the canned items, so I actually drained the water off the corn before adding it. Then I thickened it with a bit of cornstarch before serving and topped with sour cream, cheese and tortilla chips as Amy suggested. Delicious! And it made a big batch, so we have plenty for lunches tomorrow. :) Thanks Amy!

    I was so excited to find this site! I love Aldis. My family loves Mexican food and this recipe was too easy to pass up. We ate this for dinner last night and even my husband (who does not think soup constitutes a meal) loved it. I served it with Quesadillas to dunk. Yummy, thanks!

    Taste so much like my own. So I love it.

    I love the prices at Aldi’s I.
    But I have since started visiting Save alot now rather than Aldi’s becaus they are faster and you don’t have to wait 10 minutes for the one back up cashier to arrive. Prices might be a little more at Save A Lot, but it’s not killing my budget.

    Thanks for your great site. I have made other stuff from your site and I have loved it all.

    I hope to see more recipes posted in the future.
